We got off to a late start today while we waited for the soaking rain to end. Normally we hit the road by 730 / 8AM, but today we decided to wait it out since it was due to end by mid-morning.
We left the hotel about 9:30AM but it was still too early, the rain was almost torrential and we got soaked on the way to the train station.
Out first destination was Odaiba, a man made island in Tokyo Bay and we went to the Marine Park Beach. It was a nice morning, despite the fact that it was far from beach weather!
We went back to the Tokyo Palace Hotel with the intention to just have a drink, but it turned into lunch - and it was so delicious (and yes, Western) that I have no regrets! The Burrata appetizer was so perfect that I deigned to take a picture of it.
We didn't do much more today, a little wandering around the city until the rain started up again.
We took cover in the hotel again for a while, I did some packing since we'd be moving on to another home base tomorrow. We had a simple Italian pasta supper not far from the hotel - nothing special.
